Companies-to-Watch Awards honour early-stage Canadian technology companies in business less than five years. These companies exemplify many of the winning characteristics of Deloitte Technology Fast 50 ranked companies, which are judged using a longer track record.

AlwaysOn Top 100 Private Company

Headquartered in Silicon Valley, AlwaysOn is a leading communications firm that maintains an online blogging network and offers numerous other online services. In July 2006, BrandIntel was handpicked from more than 1,000 companies to earn an AlwaysOn Top 100 Private Company award. Winners are chosen based on five criteria: technology innovation, market potential, customer adoption, media buzz and investor value creation. According to AlwaysOn founder Tony Perkins, BrandIntel was deemed to be among those companies with “the greatest market traction, strongest innovation and most game-changing approach.”

Microsoft 2006 Winning Customer Award

In September 2006, our technology team, Affinity Systems, was honored with the Microsoft 2006 Winning Customer Award for outstanding competitive efforts in high performance computing. The team was chosen from a pool of more than 2,300 entrants, by an international field of top Microsoft technology partners, for delivering market-leading solutions that highlight the benefits of working on the Microsoft platform. LinkMap — our proprietary Internet search tool which played a significant role in Affinity Systems’ win — successfully integrates several Microsoft technologies.

AlwaysOn Media Top 100
